The Orioles took a 2-1 lead in the top half on Manny Machado's infield hit with two outs that scored Adam Jones. O'Day's 1.00 ERA led American League relievers. He struck out Chris Taylor to end the eighth and walked off the mound with a 1.17 ERA. O'Day has given up three home runs in 46 innings. The most recent before today came off the bat of the Indians' Lonnie Chisenhall on May 22. The Orioles are 8-4 this season when tied after the eighth inning.
