he Orioles today announced the club’s 2025 Opening Day roster. The 26-man roster includes:

Seven players will start on the Injured List: INF GUNNAR HENDERSON (right intercostal strain, retroactive to 3/24) on the 10-day,  RHP ANDREW KITTREDGE (left knee debridement, retroactive to 3/24), RHP CHAYCE McDERMOTT (right lat strain, retroactive to 3/24), RHP GRAYSON RODRIGUEZ (right elbow inflammation, retroactive to 3/24), and LHP TREVOR ROGERS (right knee subluxation, retroactive to 3/24) on the 15-day, and RHP KYLE BRADISH (right elbow UCL surgery) and RHP TYLER WELLS (right elbow UCL surgery) on the 60-day.

 

RHP MATT BOWMAN has cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Norfolk, RHP ROANSY CONTRERAS has been designated for assignment, and INF LIVAN SOTO has been reassigned to Triple-A Norfolk. The Orioles’ 40-man roster currently has 38 players.

 

Five players have made their first career Opening Day roster: OF HESTON KJERSTADINF JACKSON HOLLIDAYLHP CADE POVICHRHP ALBERT SUÁREZ, and RHP TOMOYUKI SUGANO.

 

Twelve of the 26 players were on Baltimore’s Opening Day roster in 2024, while five players will be making their O’s debut: OF RAMÓN LAUREANORHP CHARLIE MORTONOF TYLER O’NEILLC GARY SÁNCHEZ, and SUGANO.

 

The Orioles open the season with a four-game series against the Toronto Blue Jays beginning today at 3:07 p.m. ET at Rogers Centre. Eflin is scheduled to make his second career Opening Day start. MASN will begin its coverage with O’s Xtra at 3 p.m. Hearst's 98 Rock (97.9 FM) and WBAL NewsRadio 1090/FM 101.5 will host a two-hour program from 1-3 p.m., immediately followed by the official pregame show on the Orioles Radio Network.
