Inside the Red Sox:

Well, here we go again. For the fourth time this season, the Red Sox and Orioles will renew their rivalry, this time in a four-game set at Camden Yards. The only obvious question that hovers over this series: What drama will we see this time around?

Let's recap what happened the last time these two teams met, starting exactly one month ago in Boston. After a 5-2 Orioles win in the first of four games at Fenway Park, Adam Jones let it be known that he was subjected to racial insults during the game and had objects thrown at him from the stands. And when Jones received a standing ovation from the Boston faithful before his first at-bat the next night, it seemed like the game would go on without any further issues.

But then Chris Sale threw a 98 mph first-pitch fastball behind Manny Machado, and both teams were warned. Carrying over into the third game, Kevin Gausman was ejected in the second inning for hitting Xander Bogaerts in the back with a 77 mph changeup, followed by Jones getting tossed in the fifth for arguing balls and strikes. All of this coming on the heels of the mess between Machado and the Red Sox after the Orioles third baseman slid into Dustin Pedroia the last time the BoSox were in Baltimore, injuring Boston's second baseman.

Orioles fans won't see Pedroia this time around either after he was placed on the 10-day disabled list on Tuesday with a sprained left wrist. The Red Sox offense will have to be carried by Bogaerts' .337/.393/.471 slash line and Mookie Betts' team-leading nine home runs and 32 RBIs. Andrew Benintendi and Mitch Moreland have also combined for 11 homers and 55 RBIs.

Eduardo Rodriguez will be the first of three southpaws the Red Sox will throw in this series when he brings his 4-1 record and 2.77 ERA to the mound for the series opener. He has tossed seven straight quality starts, starting with his last outing against he Birds when he pitched six scoreless innings of one-hit ball with seven strikeouts. Righty Rick Porcello gets the ball for Friday night's game. He is 3-6 with a 4.21 ERA in 11 starts this season. Porcello gave up just two runs and five hits in six innings while taking the loss against the O's on May 1.

David Price will make just his second start of the season when he toes the rubber at Camden Yards in a nationally televised game on Saturday night. Price has dealt with a sore elbow since February, resulting in his late start to the season. In his 2017 debut, he gave up three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out four against the White Sox. Price is 11-5 with a 2.88 ERA in 24 career starts against the Orioles. Sale will start Sunday's finale, bringing his 2.77 ERA, 0.91 WHIP and major league-best 110 strikeouts to the bump. He struck out 11 Orioles over eight innings of two-run ball on May 2. Sale has pitched into the seventh inning in all but two of his 11 starts this season. He has only not recorded double-digit strikeouts three times this season, and is coming off his worst outing in a Red Sox uniform, giving up six runs (five earned) and 10 hits over just five innings against his former club, the White Sox. Sale did, however, record the win, thanks to Boston's offense scoring 10 runs for him.

Craig Kimbrel has continued to be a dominant closer in the game, not allowing a run in his last nine games. His ERA is a minuscule 0.75 as he is now 15-for-16 in save situations this year with 45 strikeouts.
