Orioles agree to terms with first-round pick Dylan Bundy

The Orioles tonight announced that they have agreed to terms with right-handed pitcher Dylan Bundy, their first selection in the 2011 First Year Player Draft, and the fourth overall pick of the draft. Bundy has been signed to a five-year major league contract beginning in 2012. Bundy, 18, is a 6-foot-1, 200-pound right-handed pitcher from Sperry, Okla. In his senior season at Owasso High School, he went 11-0 with a 0.20 ERA and 158 strikeouts and five walks in 71.0 innings. He also batted .467 with 11 home runs and 54 RBIs. Scouted by Ernie Jacobs, Bundy was named the Gatorade National Player of the Year. Bundy's older brother, Bobby, was the Orioles' eighth round selection in the 2008 draft and currently pitches for the Bowie Baysox. The Orioles have also announced that they have agreed to terms with third baseman Jason Esposito, their second-round pick out of Vanderbilt University, and third baseman/infielder Nick Delmonico, their sixth-round pick out of Farragut High School in Knoxville, Tenn. Both were scouted by Adrian Dorsey.
