Orioles and Blue Jays lineups and notes (updated)

Nick Markakis remains in the Orioles' lineup tonight after being drilled in the left arm by a pitch yesterday. Adam Jones stays in center field despite appearing to twist his ankle in that same game. Robert Andino makes another start at second base. The Orioles haven't announced that they've recalled left-hander Zach Britton, but he's on the mound tonight. UPDATE: They just announced it. For the Orioles: Nick Markakis RF J.J. Hardy SS Nate McLouth LF Adam Jones CF Matt Wieters C Chris Davis DH Mark Reynolds 1B Manny Machado 3B Robert Andino 2B Zach Britton LHP For the Blue Jays: Rajai Davis LF Colby Rasmus CF Edwin Encarnacion DH Adam Lind 1B Yunel Escobar SS Kelly Johnson 2B Moises Sierra RF Jeff Mathis C Adeiny Hechavarria 3B Carlos Villanueva RHP Davis is 4-for-6 with two homers against Villanueva. Hardy is 7-for-12 with a homer. Britton has allowed 16 of his 27 runs in the first two innings. The Orioles' 75 wins are their most since 2004, when they won 78 games. The Orioles haven't won a season series against the Blue Jays since 2004 (11-8). With their 8-4 mark this year, their next win would guarantee them no worse than a split of the season series. They have four games against Toronto at Camden Yards on Sept. 24-26. Joe Saunders retired the first 17 batters he faced yesterday. According to Elias, it was the fourth game this season in which the Orioles held their opponent hitless through at least 5 2/3 innings. Jason Hammel has done it twice and Wei-Yin Chen once. The Orioles had two no-hit bids of that length or longer over the previous four seasons combined, both by Chris Tillman (once each in 2010 and 2011). From Elias: The Orioles could become the seventh team all-time to make the playoffs with a negative run differential (-31). Today, the Orioles announced a new ticket promotion to celebrate the team's push for the postseason in their 20th anniversary season at Camden Yards. They're offering 1992 throwback pricing for select locations during the Orioles' series against the Tampa Bay Rays from Sept. 11-13. For all three games of the series, while supplies last, Eutaw Street Bleacher seats are $4 (regularly $19) and all Left Field Lower Box seats are $8 (regularly $32). Fans can take advantage of this 75 percent discount online at www.orioles.com/buckleup or by stopping by the Oriole Park Box Office. Fans who already purchased regularly priced seats in the Eutaw Street Bleachers or Left Field Lower Box will receive a refund for the difference in ticket value. A refund check will be automatically issued, and fans should allow up to four weeks for processing and delivery. "We are looking forward to a September to remember and encourage all Orioles fans to 'BUCKle Up!' and support the club," said Orioles Director of Communications Greg Bader. "Orioles ticket prices are already the most affordable of any professional sports team in the region, and we hope this extra incentive will allow even more fans the opportunity to demonstrate that they 'Back the Birds.'" Congratulations to Bret Lasky, Single-A Delmarva's Director of Broadcasting and Graphic Design, who has been named the 2012 South Atlantic League Media Relations Director of the Year. Lasky just completed his fourth season with the Shorebirds. Sports Legends Museum is hosting a number of events Saturday in culmination of the Orioles-Yankees series at Camden Yards, including a block party with an all-you-can-eat food package and a ticket to the game. Ticket options include $65 for a ticket to the game and an all-you-can-eat drink food package or $36 for an all-you-can-eat drink food package if you already have your game ticket. Prior to the Block Party, Sports Legends Museum will also be hosting a book signing and program with Marty Appel. Fans can learn insider history within the New York Yankees from the time he began his tenure with the Yankees handling fan mail for Mickey Mantle to his career as Public Relations Director of the team. Appel'’s newly released book, "Pinstripe Empire: The New York Yankees from Before the Babe to After the Boss," will be available for purchase. Following the Appel program, fans will have the opportunity to meet Babe Ruth's daughter, Julia Ruth Stevens, 96, as she shares stories about her father and signs autographs. The Appel book signing and Julia Ruth Stevens’ appearance are free with standard museum admission. To honor former Ravens linebacker O.J. Brigance, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2007, and to celebrate his birthday, the "Brigance Brigade" is hosting an ‘online birthday party’ where friends, fans, and supporters can post birthday wishes and, if inclined, make donations to his foundation. The goal behind the online celebration is to engage Brigance's many fans and supporters and give them a platform to communicate with him. Donations made to the site will be used to help improve the quality of life for other ALS patients and their families through equipment and support services that they otherwise could not afford. Fans are encouraged to visit http://www.gofundme.com/BriganceBrigade.
