The Orioles have won six straight road games for the first time since Aug. 29-Sept. 4, 2004. A win today would give the club its longest road winning streak since taking 10 in a row Aug. 29-Sept. 24, 1999.
The Orioles are 5-2 in extra-inning games and have won five straight, all on the road. The bullpen's ERA is 0.76 ERA over 35 2/3 innings in those five games.
This is the first time since 1996 that the Orioles have played multiple 15-plus inning games in the same season. The 2009 Braves and Padres were the last teams to do it.
Last night, Kevin Gregg recorded his first win since Sept. 12, 2010 against Tampa Bay.
Jones is the first player since Mark McGwire in 1988 to hit a home run in the 15th inning or later in multiple games in the same season.
The Orioles are 10-0 on the road when scoring four runs or more (19-4 overall) and 8-1 on the road when their starter goes six innings or more (19-4 overall).
