Orioles and Yankees lineups

NEW YORK – The Orioles will go for the series win later tonight in the Bronx with Adley Rutschman starting behind the plate for the second time since his promotion to the majors.

Trey Mancini is the designated hitter and batting second. Rutschman is sixth behind first baseman Ryan Mountcastle.

Mancini has reached base in 17 consecutive games. He’s batting .369/.453/.477 during that stretch.

Ramón Urías, starting again at third base, tied his career high with three hits last night, including the go-ahead home run in the sixth inning. He’s 6-for-13 in his last three games.

Austin Hays is 7-for-22 with two doubles, six RBIs, five runs scored and two walks in his last six games. He’s in left field.

Cedric Mullins is 9-for-11 in stolen base attempts. He’s swiped six since May 8.

Bruce Zimmermann has registered a 3.48 ERA and 1.258 WHIP in eight starts, with only four home runs surrendered. Left-handed hitters are 5-for-23 against him with one walk and 12 strikeouts.

Zimmermann has faced the Yankees three times this season and allowed eight earned runs in 14 1/3 innings. He shut them out over five innings on April 17 at Camden Yards.

Left-hander Jordan Montgomery has a 3.35 ERA and 1.116 WHIP in eight starts this season, with only eight walks and four home runs. Left-handed hitters are 3-for-19 with eight strikeouts.

Three of Montgomery’s starts have come against the Orioles and he’s allowed five runs in 15 2/3 innings. He shut them out over five innings on April 15. Anthony Santander hit a two-run homer on April 27 and Robinson Chirinos hit a two-run homer on Thursday.

Montgomery has made 15 career starts against the Orioles and posted a 3.04 ERA and 1.286 WHIP in 77 innings.

Mancini is 11-for-29 (.379) with one home run against Montgomery. Santander is 5-for-12 with two doubles and a home run. Chirinos is 3-for-7 with two home runs.

Aaron Judge homered twice last night and has six against the Orioles in his last seven games and 32 in 79 for his career.

Judge’s 20 career multi-homer games are the second-most in major league history through 612 career games behind Ralph Kiner’s 24. He’s the second Yankees player with four multi-homer games in the first 42 of a season, joining Babe Ruth in 1928.

Seven of his career multi-homer games are against the Orioles.
