The Orioles today announced dates for their first three O's Zone events, including the annual "Birds are Back" rally in Westminster, for fans to celebrate the opening of the 2016 season. The events will include Orioles giveaways, trivia and prizes, an appearance by the Oriole Bird, and autograph sessions with current and former Orioles players.
The first O's Zone presented by Budweiser will take place on Wednesday, March 30, at the Hard Rock Café Pier in the Inner Harbor from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. ET. Former Orioles outfielder Larry Bigbie will sign autographs for fans from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. and the Oriole Bird will be on hand to take photos with fans. Orioles public address announcer Ryan Wagner will serve as the emcee and will ask trivia questions throughout the event, with fans having the chance to win prizes, including Orioles fan packs and autographed items. The Orioles promo team will also be on hand to distribute promotional items to fans in attendance. Budweiser will sponsor five additional O's Zone events, taking place throughout the season.
On Saturday, April 2, Orioles fans can attend the second O's Zone event courtesy of Pennington Seed inside the Home Depot located at 9190 Baltimore National Pike in Ellicott City, Md. The event will take place from 11:00 a.m. to noon and will feature trivia and prizes with Wagner as the emcee and photo opportunities with the Oriole Bird. CBS RADIO's 105.7 The Fan (WJZ-FM), the flagship station of the Orioles Radio Network, will be on site with their promotions team, and former Orioles pitcher Rick Krivda will be available to sign autographs for fans.
On Saturday, April 9, the annual "Birds are Back" rally presented by Orioles Radio Network affiliate WTTR Radio (1470 AM) will take place at Westminster Island Green (1199 S Pleasant Valley Road, Westminster, MD 21158) from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Orioles catcher Caleb Jospeh and former Oriole Al Bumbry are expected to attend and sign autographs for fans from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The event will also include an appearance from the Oriole Bird.
