ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The Orioles didn't announce any trades by the 3 p.m. deadline, but they did pull off a few surprises.
Steve Clevenger is on the 25-man roster as the backup catcher. The Orioles reassigned Ryan Lavarnway to minor league camp. And reliever Ryan Webb remains on the team after clearing waivers.

Update: Ubaldo Jimenez will start the fifth game of the season on Saturday against the Blue Jays at Camden Yards. Chris Tillman will get an extra days rest.
The Orioles want to keep the ball in Jimenez's hand after a strong spring.
Executive vice president Dan Duquette reminded reporters on a conference call that deals can be made despite the roster being set.
