Orioles team up with KidsPeace for sixth annual trick-or-trot 5K/1-Mile Walk at Oriole Park

The Baltimore Orioles, OriolesREACH, and manager Buck Showalter and his wife, Angela, are once again joining forces with KidsPeace to host a Halloween-themed race to benefit children in foster care.

The sixth annual Trick-or-Trot 5K/1-Mile Walk will be held on Saturday, October 31, and will once again begin and end at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Halloween costumes are encouraged and prizes will be awarded for top runners, age group winners, and best costumes. Additionally, a pre- and post-race party will feature a costume contest, face painting, food, and Halloween fun with Buck and Angela Showalter, as well as the Oriole Bird.

Interested runners and walkers can register at www.orioles.com/kidspeace. The registration fee is $35 through October 27 and $40 on race day.

"Angela and I are thankful for this opportunity to host the sixth annual KidsPeace Trick-or-Trot," said Buck Showalter. "We believe deeply in the services this organization provides to foster youth and their families. We are honored to continue to be a part of the Orioles' commitment to the Birdland community and we hope you'll join us for this exciting and fun event at our iconic ballpark."

All proceeds from the race benefit KidsPeace Foster Care and Community Programs of Maryland including KEYS (KidsPeace Empowering Youth to Succeed), a program which prepares youth for independence through life-skills training.
