Orioles lineup includes Adam Jones

Adam Jones returns to the Orioles lineup tonight after missing the last two games in New York with a sore right shoulder.

Nolan Reimold remains atop the order, as manager Buck Showalter loads up the lineup with right-handed bats against Royals left-hander Danny Duffy. Dariel Alvarez is playing right field and Steve Pearce is starting at first base.

Matt Wieters is out of the lineup again tonight. He also was on the bench Wednesday night while the Yankees started left-hander CC Sabathia.

According to the Elias Sports Bureau, Pearce became the first former Yankees player to hit a game-winning home run in the eighth inning or later against them since Bobby Abreu in 2011.

The Orioles still haven't announced a starter for Sunday's series finale. Chris Tillman opposes Yordano Ventura on Saturday. The Royals are listing Johnny Cueto for Sunday.

Duffy has held left-handed hitters to a .143 average (6-for-42) since the All-Star break, ranking third in the American League.
