Pie still in one piece (w/lineups)

Felix Pie is hitting .385, but the Orioles have lost all nine games that he's played. Don't blame Pie. It's not entirely his fault. I checked on him an hour ago and he's feeling fine after making his first start with the Orioles since April 15. No shoulder or back pain. It must be behind him, so to speak. "I still feel good," he said. "Before we played here, I played a couple more (rehab) games and I'm conditioned. I'm ready." Pie had two hits and an RBI last night. "I'm not surprised because I've been swinging the bat good," he said. Pie doesn't know whether he'll be in the lineup again tonight. He spoke to interim manager Juan Samuel around 2 p.m., but wasn't told if he'd face Tigers starter Max Scherzer. I'd find it surprising if Pie's on the bench. "I told him today I was ready," Pie said. Samuel told reporters in Boston that he planned to ease Pie back into the leadoff spot. Pie batted seventh last night. "I'm OK right there, but if he wants to put me back at leadoff, that's good, too," Pie said. "I'm OK where I'm at right now." Here's the Orioles lineup, which includes Pie: Julio Lugo 2B Miguel Tejada 3B Nick Markakis RF Ty Wigginton 1B Adam Jones CF Matt Wieters C Felix Pie LF Josh Bell DH Cesar Izturis SS Brad Bergesen RHP For the Tigers: Austin Jackson CF Johnny Damon DH Magglio Ordonez RF Miguel Cabrera 1B Brennan Boesch LF Carlos Guillen 2B Brandon Inge 3B Gerald Laird C Danny Worth SS Max Scherzer RHP
