Random notes and Tigers lineup

I'll pass along a few notes before the Orioles kick off the home portion of their schedule. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy bringing them to you. Luke Scott is still hoping to play Wednesday after sitting out yesterday's game at Tropicana Field with a strained groin muscle. He's not in today's lineup, but he's available to pinch hit if needed. "It feels much better," Scott said. "The real test comes when I put some effort into it, but I'm optimistic." Justin Duchsherer threw yesterday and felt "pretty good," according to manager Buck Showalter. Duchscherer is still scheduled to undergo an ablation on his lower back in the next day or two. The procedure uses radio frequency waves to heat up the nerves, interrupt the nerve signals and deaden the pain. He'll likely be shut down four or five days. Alfredo Simon is scheduled to take his physical tomorrow in Sarasota and begin a throwing program. Simon, who checked into the team hotel in Sarasota on Saturday, remains on the restricted list. I'll have more notes and quotes later today. In the meantime, here's the Tigers' lineup: Jackson CF Rymes 2B Ordonez RF Cabrera 1B Martinez DH Boesch LF Peralta SS Avila C Inge 3B Porcello RHP
