Reimold optioned to Triple-A Norfolk

SARASOTA, Fla. - Outfielder Nolan Reimold was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk this morning, so you can add his name to the list of roster cuts. Nolan-Reimold_Orange-Throwing-Tall.gif Reimold batted .315 with three doubles, three homers, 10 RBIs, a .448 on-base percentage and a .537 slugging percentage. Felix Pie made the team over Reimold, as expected. He's out of options and he's the backup center fielder. Pie is batting .254 with three doubles, one triple, one homer, eight RBIs, a .254 on-base percentage and a .390 slugging percentage. Also, Randy Winn requested and was granted his unconditional release. Non-roster invitees Clay Rapada, Mark Hendrickson, David Riske, Ryan Drese, Nick Green and Pat Egan have been assigned to minor league camp. You already know that Hendrickson and Riske can seek major league jobs. The Orioles have 30 players remaining in camp, including non-roster invitees Josh Rupe and Brendan Harris. Harris will be cut. Rupe apparently has won a job in the bullpen. Zach Britton eventually will be optioned, bringing the total to 28. Brian Matusz and Justin Duchscherer are heading to one of the back fields to pitch against a collection of minor leaguers. They won't be confined to the indoor cage.
