Reversing a nasty Oakland trend (and A's lineup)

You've probably figured out that the Orioles have struggled in Oakland in past years. Here are a few more examples: The Orioles have posted consecutive quality starts in Oakland for the first time since April 16-18, 2010 when they posted three straight - Kevin Millwood, Jeremy Guthrie and Brian Matusz. The Orioles have won three straight in Oakland, dating back to Sept. 16, 2012, for the first time since Aug. 15-17, 2005. The Orioles haven't won four straight in Oakland since May 23-Sept. 9, 1998. The Orioles haven't won a season series against the A's since 1998 (8-3). With a win today or Sunday, the Orioles will claim their first series win in Oakland since July 20-22, 2007. The last time the Orioles won a four-game series in Oakland was July 31-Aug. 3, 1997. The last four-game sweep by the Orioles in Oakland was May 22-25, 1987. Chris Davis has hit 40 home runs since April 25, 2012, good for fifth in the majors behind Ryan Braun (45), Edwin Encarnacion (45), Miguel Cabrera (41) and Adam Dunn (41). Davis has played 147 games in that span, while the other four averaged 158 games. J.J. Hardy had his first multi-hit game of the season last night. Chris Tillman has faced the Athletics only once, a May 27, 2011 start. He allowed one earned run (two total) and six hits in 4 1/3 innings, with three walks and two strikeouts. John Jaso is 2-for-10 vs. Tillman. Casper Wells is 0-for-8. Jed Lowerie is 0-for-1. That's it for players currently on Oakland's 25-man roster. No current Oriole has faced A.J. Griffin, who's 9-2 with a 3.39 ERA in 19 career major league starts over two seasons. Steve Pearce probably won't be in the lineup against a right-hander, but he's 5-for-12 with two walks, a home run and four RBIs over his last four games. Per Elias: The Orioles have won a franchise-record 102 consecutive regular season games when leading after seven innings, the last loss coming Aug. 8, 2011. It's the second-longest streak for any club during the expansion era since 1961, trailing just the 1998-99 Yankees (116).
