Roberts serving as DH tonight (updated)

Orioles second baseman Brian Roberts is off the disabled list and in the lineup for tonight's series finale against the New York Yankees at Camden Yards. Roberts is batting ninth, as he did in the first three games of the season. He was 5-for-12 before injuring his hamstring on a slide into second base at Tropicana Field. Roberts is serving as the designated hitter, with Ryan Flaherty started at second base. Flaherty is batting .483 (14-for-29) with four homers and nine RBIs during an eight-game hitting streak. Flaherty has six multi-hit games in his last eight games. He had seven in his first 123 major league games before this streak. Because the Orioles were under the 40-man roster maximum, Jurrjens was designated off the 25-man roster. He couldn't be optioned because he was only up from the minors for one day, so that option will take place tomorrow. The Orioles did the same thing earlier this season with pitcher Alex Burnett.
