Tillman makes it through the fifth with lead (O's win 12-3)

Chris Tillman has made it through five innings tonight with his pitch count at 105. He retired 11 in a row following the back-to-back home runs by Victor and J.D. Martinez in the second inning before Andrew Romine singled with two outs in the fifth.
Rajai Davis also singled and Ian Kinsler walked to load the bases, but Torii Hunter bounced into a force at second.
Kinsler has seen 30 pitches in his three plate appearances, including 14 in the third inning, when his bat shattered as he lined to third base. Kinsler has fouled off 15 pitches.
Tillman allowed one hit with the bases loaded this season.
Tommy Hunter was warming in the fifth as Tillman ran into serious trouble. Now, it's Andrew Miller.
Have we seen the last of Tillman tonight? He's allowed two runs and four hits in five innings, with one walk, six strikeouts and two home runs.
The Orioles continue to lead 3-2 heading to the bottom of the fifth. Tigers starter Max Scherzer has retired seven in a row.
According to ESPN Stats & Info, the only other teammates with same last name to hit back-to-back playoff home runs before tonight were Hall of Famers Frank and Brooks Robinson in the 1966 World Series.

Miller worked more than one inning in only three games with the Orioles. His 32 pitches tonight ties his season-high set on April 16.
J.J Hardy led off the bottom of the seventh with a home run to give the Orioles a 4-2 lead. Scherzer is still in the game.
Update II: Miguel Cabrera homered off Darren O'Day with two outs in the eighth to reduce the lead to 4-3.
O'Day gave up three of his six regular-season home runs in September.
Torii Hunter lined into a double play before Cabrera homered. Kinsler, who reached on an infield hit, was running on the pitch and was easily doubled off first base.
Update III: The Orioles got two big insurance runs in the eighth to lead 6-3.
Alejandro De Aza scored on shortstop Andrew Romine's error on Adam Jones' bouncer up the middle, and Jones scored on Cruz's RBI single to center field.
Cruz vs. the Tigers is a mismatch of epic proportions.
De Aza doubled off Scherzer and Joba Chamberlain replaced him. The Orioles finally got into the Tigers' bullpen.
Update IV: The Orioles scored four more runs in the eighth on Ryan Flaherty's bases-loaded single, Nick Hundley's RBI grounder and Jonathan Schoop's two-run double.

And now De Aza doubles again to score two more runs and give the Orioles a 12-3 lead.
