Tillman shaky but resilient (updated)

CLEARWATER, Fla - Chris Tillman completed two innings today, and he got quite a workout. Tillman threw 42 pitches, 25 for strikes. He allowed one run and three hits, walked one and struck out one. The Phillies threatened in the second when John Mayberry Jr. doubled with one out and Brian Schneider walked. With Mark Worrell warming in the bullpen, Tillman got a fly ball and grounder to escape the jam. Tillman threw 21 pitches in each inning. It's common knowledge that Tillman needs to become more of a strike-thrower. He walked 31 and struck out 31 in 53 2/3 innings with the Orioles last season. Zach Britton will enter the game in the bottom of the third inning. Randy Winn led off the top of the third with a single, and he stole second with one out. Update: Winn scored on Matt Wieters' two-out single to right off Brad Lidge. Orioles 2, Phillies 1. Nolan Reimold followed with a sharp single to left, but he was thrown out trying to stretch it into a double. Reimold was crushing the ball in batting practice, sending one over Frenchy's beyond the left field fence.
