Tillman through the third (updated)

SARASOTA, Fla. - Chris Tillman isn't making the boldest statement that he should be included in the opening night rotation. Tillman has allowed two runs, on J.D. Drew's wind-aided homer to left, and four hits. He's also walked three batters and struck out two. Tillman has thrown 51 pitches, 31 for strikes. It looks like his fastball is topping out at 90 mph. Matt Wieters threw out Marco Scutaro trying to steal in the first inning. Drew followed with a walk. David Ortiz singled to left against the Orioles' shift to lead off the second, but Darnell McDonald grounded into a double play. Nate Spears followed with a walk. Drew homered in the third after Scutaro singled. Kevin Youkilis followed with a four-pitch walk. Wieters just singled in the bottom of the third off former Orioles reliever Matt Albers. Update: J.J. Hardy followed Wieters' single with a walk, and Nick Markakis' two-out single reduced Boston's lead to 2-1. Markakis has 11 RBIs this spring. He began the day batting .348.
