Time of press conference: 2 minutes, 10 seconds

Manager Dave Trembley might have set a record tonight. Trembley made his usual opening statement and took three questions. Nothing else was coming. End of press conference. I've seen mound visits last longer.

"We're down by a run in the ninth and we've got ourselves in a position to win the game with the right guys up at the right time, and it didn't happen, and that's how the game ended," Trembley said. "Obviously, it's not something that's real pleasant to come in here and talk about after, but we did the very best we could with the right guys who've done a very good job for us up to this point. They've really come through with some big hits. "(Ty) Wigginton has been a real reliable guy knocking in runs and having a big season, as everybody knows, and that didn't happen. I thought (Brad) Bergesen pitched very well, got a lot of ground balls. Was good to see Koji (Uehara) able to go out there for another inning. We had (Joakim) Soria on the ropes and it didn't happen. That was the game." Trembley didn't dispute the balk call on Bergesen in the second inning that forced in a run, saying it was obvious if you watched the replay. And he didn't know what else to say about the Orioles going 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position, "other than the fact that we're getting the opportunities and we're not cashing them in."
