Tonight's starting lineup as Frederick begins the playoffs

FREDERICK, Md.- Tonight's scheduled playoff game between the Single-A Frederick Keys and the Potomac Nationals remains very much on. The rain has just about stopped as of just before 4 p.m. at Harry Grove Stadium and right now the tarp is not on the field. Frederick is set to begin its best-of-five Carolina League semifinal series against Potomac. The same teams met in the semifinals last year with Potomac winning that series, three games to one. If there is any change in the status of tonight's playoff game, I'll post it here as soon as possible. Check back here later today for some pregame news and notes from Frederick and game coverage, as well. Here is tonight's Keys starting lineup: 3B - Dale Mollenhauer 2B - Jonathan Schoop SS - Manny Machado 1B - Aaron Baker DH - Mike Flacco RF - Jacob Julius CF - Miguel Abreu C - Brian Ward LF - Bobby Stevens Aaron Baker has been added from Double-A Bowie to the Keys' roster. He did play here after coming to Baltimore from Pittsburgh in the Derrek Lee trade. In 12 games with the Keys, Baker hit .386 with two homers, nine RBIs and a 1.063 OPS. With Bowie, he hit .196 in 15 games. Lefty Jake Pettit is tonight's starting pitcher for the Keys. He is 7-0 with a 1.62 ERA in 10 Frederick starts. He has allowed one earned run or less in seven of those games. He went 5-4 with a 4.42 ERA in 15 starts with Single-A Delmarva. Pettit is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA in two starts against Potomac. His mound opponent tonight is right-hander Paul Demny. The 22-year-old is 10-10 with an ERA of 4.32 in 26 starts for the Nationals. He went 1-3 with a 4.80 ERA in five regular season starts against Frederick. The Keys finished the season with the best record in the league at 80-59, setting a franchise record for wins. Potomac tied Frederick for first place in the second half at 39-31 and went 68-71 overall. The clubs split 20 regular season meetings. The Keys will host Game 1 and Game 2 tonight and Thursday. Potomac hosts Game 3 Friday and Game 4, if necessary, Saturday. If the series goes to a fifth and deciding game Sunday, it will be played at Frederick at 2 p.m.
