Westburg on Orioles' bench again tonight

Jordan Westburg remains out of the lineup for tonight’s game against the Rays at Camden Yards.

Westburg has a bruised right hand. He didn’t play Wednesday.

Ramón Urías stays at third base. Colton Cowser is in left field, Cedric Mullins is in center and Anthony Santander is in right.

Adley Rutschman is batting .381 against fastballs this season, fourth-highest in the majors per STATS. Eight of his 10 home runs have come off fastballs. Kyle Tucker (13) and Juan Soto (12) are the only players with more.

Albert Suárez stays in the rotation and on turn after replacing injured right-hander Dean Kremer. Suárez tossed four scoreless innings Saturday in Chicago and is 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA and 0.955 WHIP in 11 games (four starts).

Súarez’s 1.53 ERA is the fourth-lowest of any Orioles pitcher in his first 11 games with the team in a minimum 25 innings, according to STATS. He trails Art Schallock (0.82 in 1955), Alan Mills (1.32 in 1992) and Dave Ford (1.40 in 1978-79).

Steve Barber is fifth with a 1.55 ERA in 1960.

Suárez started against the Rays in 2016 with the Giants and allowed three runs, all on homers, and five hits in 4 2/3 innings.

The Orioles went 4-3 against Tampa Bay at home last season and 4-2 on the road. They finally meet again this weekend.

The Orioles haven’t lost a series against a division opponent in the last 18, going 13-0-5. They trail the first-place Yankees by two games.

The Rays are 28-29 after yesterday’s 12-inning win over the Athletics, when they used six relievers. They’re 11-11 on the road.

Tampa Bay and the Red Sox are tied for third place, 10 ½ games behind the Yankees.

Right-hander Aaron Civale has a 5.72 ERA and 1.341 WHIP in 11 starts. He’s struck out 57 batters in 56 2/3 innings.

Civale hasn’t gone more than 5 1/3 innings in his last seven starts. He’s made three career starts against the Orioles and registered a 6.75 ERA in 16 innings, but he’s won both decisions.

Ryan Mountcastle is 5-for-6 with a double and two home runs against Civale. Mullins is 5-for-8 with a double and two home runs.

One of Gunnar Henderson’s 50 career home runs has come against Civale.

The Rays rank 25th in the majors with a .662 OPS and 28th in home runs with 46. Their 4.22 team ERA is 22nd. Relievers have posted a 4.37 ERA that ranks 24th.

The Rays lead the majors by allowing 122 runs on homers, one more than the White Sox, per STATS. The Orioles have scored 121 runs on homers, second-most behind the Yankees’ 140.
