Will the offense keep rolling tonight for the Orioles? (updated)

As a team, the Orioles are leading the American League in runs scored (271), hits (515), doubles (118), home runs (75), slugging (.464), extra-base hits (197), stolen bases (41) and OPS (.796). The Birds are also second in average (.276) and stolen base percentage (83.7 percent). The Orioles are on pace to hit 230 homers, which would be second-most in franchise history behind the 1996 club that blasted 257 homers. They would score the fourth-most runs (828) in club history, behind the 949 in 1996, 851 in 1999, and 842 in 2004. Over the last six games, the O's have 13 hits or more four times with a team batting average of .332 and 39 runs scored. Over the last 18 games, the Orioles are batting .311 as a team with 43 doubles, three triples and 33 homers. The Orioles are scoring 5.6 runs per game in that stretch. This has been the Chris Davis show at times, but certainly not totally the Davis show, not by a long shot. The offense has come from up and down the lineup the last few weeks and it's been impressive. The three Nationals starters in this series - Gio Gonzalez, Nate Karns and Jordan Zimmermann - have combined to pitch 16 innings against the Orioles allowing 23 hits and 14 runs (all earned) while giving up five homers. How will the O's fare tonight against Dan Haren, who is 4-5 with a 5.43 ERA? He has allowed 12 homers in 56 1/3 on the season and pitched to an ERA of 6.00 over his last four starts. Updated: Well if you thought the Chris Tillman-Jordan Zimmermann matchup would be more of a pitcher's duel than the Freddy Garcia-Dan Haren pairing, you were wrong. At least through four innings you would be. The Orioles have a 1-0 lead on a Nick Markakis RBI double that scored Ryan Flaherty, who had singled, in the third inning. Markakis now has 14 RBIs his last 15 games. The O's have hit several loud outs but have just one run on the board so far. Garcia, who pitched to an ERA of 3.27 over his last two starts against the Yankees and Blue Jays, has blanked the Nats tonight on two hits in the first four frames, throwing 53 pitches.
