Ynoa included in rotation for four-game series in Bronx

Gabriel Ynoa is getting another chance in the rotation.

The Orioles are listing Ynoa as their starter for Friday night's game against the Yankees in the Bronx.

Left-hander Wade Miley opens the four-game series Thursday night. Jeremy Hellickson is pitching Saturday afternoon, but the Orioles haven't named a starter for Sunday afternoon.

The Yankees are countering with Masahiro Tanaka, Luis Severino and left-handers Jordan Montgomery and CC Sabathia.

Outfielder Austin Hays could crack the lineup for the final two games, if not sooner.

Dylan Bundy would be working on regular rest if he's chosen for Sunday, but manager Buck Showalter continues to find ways to give him extra rest. Bundy held the Blue Jays to one run last night over six innings, with one walk and eight strikeouts, but Zach Britton gave up two runs in the ninth and the Orioles' losing streak reached six games.

Ubaldo Jiménez, Chris Tillman and Mike Wright are the other options for Sunday unless Showalter decides to experiment. Showalter considered Wright before choosing Ynoa on Saturday, and the right-hander surrendered three runs and seven hits in 4 2/3 innings in a 4-2 loss to the Indians.

Jiménez started on Monday and allowed three runs in five innings in Toronto's 4-3 win at Rogers Centre. Tillman hasn't started since Sept. 3 against the Blue Jays at Camden Yards. He struck out the only batter he faced in relief Friday night at Progressive Field.

Tillman is 4-5 with a 7.94 ERA and 2.007 WHIP in 10 career starts at Yankee Stadium. Jiménez is 3-4 with a 6.37 ERA and 1.707 WHIP in eight starts. Wright's made two relief appearances and allowed four runs and six hits in four innings.
