Arrieta start pushed back again as precaution

Jake Arrieta threw around 40 pitches in the bullpen today and said his right elbow felt good, but he's scheduled for another side session on Wednesday and is shooting for a Saturday start in Atlanta.
Arrieta was supposed to pitch Wednesday against the Cardinals at Camden Yards, but the Orioles want him to throw again in the bullpen and build up to around 50 pitches.
Arrieta, who's been receiving treatment on his right elbow for inflammation caused by a bone spur, said he threw the last 10 to 15 pitches today at "pretty much maximum effort." There was "no pain or discomfort," he said.
Chris Jakubauskas is expected to start Wednesday on normal rest. Tomorrow's off-day allows the Orioles to tweak their rotation again.
Also, Alfredo Simon is eligible to be activated from the disabled list on Tuesday, but he might pitch one more time on his injury rehab assignment. It depends how he throws today at Double-A Bowie, and whether the Orioles need to add a reliever. The off-day might might reduce the urgency.
