Bryce Harper named to Forbes' "30 Under 30"

For the third straight year, Forbes has compiled its list of the top "30 Under 30," highlighting some of the best names in 15 different fields, such as art, education, technology and sports. This year, 21-year-old Bryce Harper found himself on the list of the top names in sports, along with other well-known names such as tennis star Maria Sharapova and the Penguins' Sidney Crosby. Since making his major league debut on April 28, 2012, Harper has garnered national attention for his hard-nosed play. He has a .272 career batting average, 42 home runs and 29 stolen bases in his first two seasons. The Nationals outfielder was chosen for more than just his successes on the field, as Forbes noted Harper's following on social media, how his jersey is among the top sellers in Major League Baseball and his large number of endorsements.
