Can O's resurgent offense get to Lester tonight?

The Orioles, in case you have not noticed, have been putting up a lot of runs lately. They have scored six runs or more in four straight, nine of ten and 12 of the last 14 games. The Orioles have scored 84 runs on 22 homers those last 14 games, averaging 6.0 runs per game in that time. They have some batters who are hitting well up and down the lineup as they try tonight to beat a pitcher in Jon Lester, that they have never defeated. Some O's hot hitters heading into the finale: * Nick Markakis is batting .467 (14-for-30) during an eight-game hitting streak. He has four doubles, five multi-hit games and five RBIs during his streak. * Matt Wieters has two homers and four RBIs in this series and is batting .313 (10-for-32) during a nine-game batting streak. Wieters has hit five homers over his last 13 games, nine in his last 26 and has 12 homers over his past 35 games. * In his past nine games, Mark Reynolds is batting .300 (9-for-30) with five homers and 10 RBIs. * Vladimir Guerrero is batting .374 (34-for-91) over his last 22 games with two homers, eight doubles and 13 RBIs along with 11 multi-hit games in that time. * Nolan Reimold is batting .306 (11-for-36) with four homers and 13 RBIs over the past 11 games. He has four multi-RBI games in that time. Throw in Robert Andino batting .293 over his last 24 games, Chris Davis hitting .343 over his last 18 and J.J. Hardy batting .370 over the previous six games and it's easy to see why the Orioles offense has some alive late in the year. The Orioles' starting pitching has not matched the performance of the offense in recent games. They have recorded just one quality start over the last 11 games. The starters' ERA is 7.76 in that time frame.
