The Nationals have announced their farmhands selected to play in the Arizona Fall League in 2018. There will be eight players from the Nationals invited and high Single-A Potomac's Luis Ordaz will be the hitting coach.
The Nats will play in the AFL East Division with the Salt River Rafters, with top prospects from the Rockies, Twins, Astros, Marlins and Diamondbacks. Tommy Watkins from the Twins organization is the manager. They will be joined by the Mesa Solar Sox and the Scottsdale Scorpions in the East Division.
Shortstop Carter Kieboom, catcher Tres Barrera, right fielder Daniel Johnson and third baseman Jake Noll are the position players.
Right-hander Luis Reyes and left-handers Ben Braymer, Taylor Guilbeau and Jordan Mills are the pitchers invited.
Kieboom, Johnson, Noll and Mills are currently on the Double-A Harrisburg roster. Reyes started the season on the Harrisburg roster, but went to the disabled list June 15; he has been rehabbing most recently at short-season Single-A Auburn. He is recovering from an oblique strain.
Braymer, Guilbeau and Berrera were with Potomac.
Kieboom is listed as the Nats' No. 4 prospect in Baseball America. Johnson is No. 8.
