Markakis and Pearce go back-to-back in third (O's win 9-1)

Nick Markakis interrupted his slump tonight and Steve Pearce maintained his hot streak.
In consecutive at-bats.
Markakis was hitless in 21 at-bats before drilling a two-run homer to right field in the bottom of the third inning off Rays starter Jake Odorizzi to give the Orioles a 2-1 lead.
Yes, Markakis wears No. 21. Coincidence?

Pearce followed with his 15th home run, and he absolutely crushed a 90 mph fastball from Odorizzi.
The Orioles have gone back-to-back five times this season.
Markakis didn't have a hit since his home run at U.S. Cellular Field on the same night that he made the sensational catch. He's got 12 homers this season, the latest coming on an 89 mph fastball from Odorizzi.
Markakis is 5-for-10 lifetime against Odorizzi.
Pearce extended his hitting streak to eight games, tying his career-long. He's 11-for-32 with five doubles and four home runs.
Delmon Young singled with two outs on the 11th pitch of the at-bat to extend his hitting streak to six games.
Odorizzi has thrown 65 pitches in three innings.
The Orioles fell behind 1-0 in the top of the third on Yunel Escobar's infield hit, Jonathan Schoop's error and Sean Rodriguez's double play. Pearce failed to dig out J.J. Hardy's throw in the dirt and Schoop failed to catch Hardy's flip at second base.
The run off Chris Tillman was unearned.
Schoop redeemed himself with a leadoff single in the bottom of the third that preceded Markakis' home run.
