Matt Skole lighting it up for Salt River in AFL

High Single-A Potomac Nationals third baseman Matt Skole has played in six games so far for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League. He has had at least one hit in each game. Saturday was Skole's third multi-hit game, and he went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. He is batting .500 (11-for-22) with three doubles, one homer and five RBIs. His slugging percentage is .773 and his OPS (on-base plus slugging) is 1.380. Skole has been playing some first base with Anthony Rendon also on the Salt River roster. Skole hit .291 with 27 homers and 104 RBIs in 2012, earning the organization's player of the year award. Again, Skole is a rising star in the organization, and I expect the left-handed-hitting prospect to begin next season at Double-A Harrisburg. With increased work at first base, he could position himself as that left-handed bat at that position the Nationals will certainly covet the next few seasons.

Will Orioles coaching staff stay intact?
Starting to wonder about the rotation
