More on the expanded GM search

I can make one promise: The Orioles won't introduce their new president of baseball operations tomorrow. They will, however, interview former team executive Scott Proefrock, 51, an assistant general manager with the Philadelphia Phillies. Proefrock served as the Orioles' director of baseball administration from 2006 until 2008, handling a lot of the contract responsibilities. The Orioles also have asked permission to interview Tampa Bay executive vice president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman, Minnesota Twins vice president of player personnel Mike Radcliff and Chicago White Sox vice president/assistant general manager Rick Hahn. Friedman interviewed with the Angels, who hired Jerry Dipoto as their general manager. Many people in the industry believe that Friedman wants to remain in Tampa Bay. The Orioles haven't sought permission to interview anyone else tonight, but one source said they could reach out to Oakland Athletics assistant general manager David Forst and Texas Rangers executives A.J. Preller and Thad Levine. Another possibility is Jason McLeod, who followed Jed Hoyer to the Chicago Cubs as senior vice president/scouting and player development. I've been told again that the Orioles would like to interview Ned Colletti if he leaves the Los Angeles Dodgers.
