Nats game blog: Garza winless against the Nationals

The Nationals seek their second consecutive series win today as they battle the Milwaukee Brewers.

Wisconsin-native right-hander Jordan Zimmermann gets the ball for the seventh time against Milwaukee. He is 4-1 with 3.71 ERA in six starts against the Brewers. He also has a 3.06 ERA in 88 home starts in his career.

He pitched against the Nationals June 11, receiving a no-decision after allowing five runs, only two that were earned, in six innings. He walked none and struck out seven in the Brewers' 6-5 comeback win.

Jayson Werth and Clint Robinson have hit homers against Garza in their careers. But he is tough to hit for the most part: Ian Desmond 2-10, Danny Espinosa 3-14, Bryce Harper 1-3, Wilson Ramos 3-11 (.273), Anthony Rendon 1-6, Werth 6-14 (.429), Ryan Zimmerman 4-13 (.308).

Zimmerman and Ramos are at nine homers on the season. If they can both go yard today, that would lift the Nationals to six players with double figure homers this season.
