Nats open 2021 spring slate Feb. 27 hosting Astros

Major League Baseball today announced that the 2021 Nationals spring training schedule will begin Saturday, Feb. 27 when they host the Astros at FITTEAM Ballpark of The Palm Beaches.

The Nationals' 31-game spring slate features 15 home games, plus three other games as the visiting club against the Astros in their shared home stadium.

The home schedule concludes March 28 at home against the Cardinals. The 2021 regular season commences for all 30 clubs on Thursday, April 1.

The Nats also have home spring training games against the Marlins (March 2, 9, 16 and 24), Braves (March 10), Astros (March 6, 17), Mets (March 13, 22, 27), Cardinals (March 5, 14) and Tigers (March 19).

For the first time in 2021, FITTEAM Ballpark of the Palm Beaches will host a pair of day/night doubleheaders featuring the Nationals and Astros. On March 13, the Mets will visit the Nationals in the afternoon, followed by Yankees-Astros at night. On March 27, the Nats will host the Cardinals in the nightcap after an afternoon Marlins-Astros game.
