No run support for Jimenez and no wins at home

The walks that have plagued Orioles pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez this season rest entirely on his shoulders. He takes full responsibility. But he can't control each time the offense goes into shutdown mode while he's on the mound.

White Sox right-hander Hector Noesi is blanking the Orioles tonight on four hits over six innings. He's thrown only 63 pitches.

Jimenez held the White Sox to two runs over the first six innings before Tyler Flower's two-run single with none out in the seventh. Flowers was ruled safe at second, but the Orioles requested a review and the call was overturned.

Either way, Jimenez is facing another loss at home, which would drop his record to 0-7 at Camden Yards.

Adam Eaton's single with one out ended Jimenez's night. He's charged with four runs and eight hits in 6 1/3 innings, with two walks, six strikeouts and a home run. He threw 100 pitches, 65 for strikes.

On the plus side, Jimenez got past the sixth for the first time in eight starts. The two walks are his fewest in seven outings.

Jimenez has started three of the Orioles' six shutout losses. While he's been in the game, the Orioles have scored two, one, one, five, zero, three, three, one, three, zero, one, two, zero, zero and two runs in his 15 starts before tonight.

The first walk tonight didn't come until Alejandro De Aza led off the fifth, and he eventually scored. Dayan Viciedo led off the seventh with a walk and later scored.

No quality start for Jimenez. No win for the Orioles unless they figure out a way to crack the Noesi code or dig into a vulnerable White Sox bullpen.
