O's announce online "Vote Orange" campaign for All-Star Game

Ready. Set. Vote. In fact, why not "Vote Orange?" That's how the Orioles have colored the start of voting for the All-Star Game, which will be held on Tuesday, July 12 at Citi Field in Flushing, N.Y. The O's want to be fairly represented at the Midsummer Classic and beginning today, fans can cast up to 35 ballots per email address to send their favorite Birds to New York. Online voting began at 3 p.m., and fans can cast their ballots here using the official ballot. VoteOrangeLogo.jpgWho's eligible? Chris Davis is among the choices at first base, and Manny Machado is among the third basemen listed. You can also cast ballots for second baseman Brian Roberts, shortstop J.J. Hardy, catcher Matt Wieters, designated hitter Nolan Reimold and outfielders Nate McLouth, Nick Markakis and Adam Jones. Don't see your favorite player listed on the ballot? You can write him in. Each fan who votes 25 times and selects the Orioles as their "favorite" or "other favorite" club will receive an online promo code valid for $10 off a box seat or $5 off a reserved seat for any game in the Orioles series against the Houston Astros on July 30, 31 or Aug. 1. With each promo code valid for the online purchase of up to four seats, the offer could save fans as much as $40 on their tickets. In addition, fans who vote the maximum 35 times online and select the Orioles as their "favorite" or "other favorite" club will automatically be entered into the 2013 Orioles All-Star Sweepstakes with a chance to win an All-Star Game jersey signed by the 2013 Orioles All-Stars. In-park balloting at Oriole Park at Camden Yards will take place from May 7 through June 25. Online voting concludes on July 4 at 11:59 p.m. For a complete list of sweepstakes rules, visit www.orioles.com/voteorange.
