O's look to keep impressive mark against 2012 Cy Young winners going today (bats stay hot)

As the Orioles get set to face R.A Dickey for the second time this year today, it will also be their fourth game this season against a 2012 Cy Young Award winner. While they didn't pin a personal loss on Price's record, Dickey did take the loss in his start. Here are other impressive stats involving those two pitchers: Last year, Price started three times and Dickey once against the Orioles. They went a combined 3-0 with an ERA of 0.29 in those games. Over a combined 31 1/3 innings, the Orioles got just 14 hits and one run against the duo, which combined for seven walks and 33 strikeouts. This year, the pair is 0-1 with an ERA of 5.50 against the Orioles. Over 18 innings, they have combined to allow 21 hits and 11 runs (all earned) against the Orioles with seven walks and 14 strikeouts. O's batters are hitting .309 at 21-for-68 against Price and Dickey this season, with eight doubles and two homers. The Orioles' offense is on a bit of a roll recently. The club is batting .307 with 72 runs scored over the last 13 games. The Orioles have hit 13 homers the past four games and 24 in the last 11. In eight of those 11 games, they hit two homers or more. Buck Showalter was just shown on MASN shaking his hand in the dugout, so it looks like he is out after throwing 102 pitches. In his first four starts, he threw, in order: 78, 77, 75 and 66. Updating the Cy stats: With Dickey now out after allowing six runs over 6 2/3, the 2012 Cy Young winners have combined to pitch to an ERA of 6.20 this year against the Orioles, allowing 30 hits and 17 earned runs over 24 2/3 innings.
