Orioles and Twins lineups (game postponed due to rain)

Alex Cobb is coming off the injured list to make tonight's start against the Twins, if the weather allows it. He's listed as the starter, but a corresponding roster move hasn't been announced.

Cedric Mullins is out of the lineup, but Chris Davis returns.

Trey Mancini is in right field, with Joey Rickard in center. Hanser Alberto is playing second base and Jonathan Villar moves to shortstop.

Cobb is making his second start tonight. He's 2-1 with a 3.80 ERA and 1.359 WHIP in four career outings against the Twins.

Mancini is 9-for-15 with a double, two home runs and seven runs scored in the first inning. His seven runs lead the majors and nine hits are tied for first.

The Orioles lead the majors by throwing out nine of 14 runners attempting to steal for a 64.3 percent success rate.

Manager Brandon Hyde is pleased with the work done by catchers Jesús Sucre and Pedro Severino - whether it's throwing, calling a game or counseling the pitchers in a crisis. Sucre is behind the plate tonight.

"Done a great job, both guys," Hyde said yesterday. "They've shut down the running game. That's the first thing.

"Sook's been in the wars a little bit. He's caught for a while in the big leagues, caught this staff last year here in Tampa, knows how to navigate through a lineup. Love both guys' energy behind the plate. They both take pride in their defense.

"Sook's got some bad luck going, too. He's hit some balls on the nose. (Kevin) Kiermaier makes that play in the gap on him (Wednesday). He's taken some good at-bats, so yeah, we're fortunate to have both those guys."

Former Orioles Jonathan Schoop and Nelson Cruz return to Camden Yards.

Schoop, making his first visit since the Orioles traded him to the Brewers on July 31, was batting .213/.288/.383 in 52 plate appearances and mired in an 0-for-15 slump since April 10 before collecting two hits last night. He's batting eighth tonight.

Schoop is 5-for-20 with a home run and six strikeouts against Cobb. Cruz is 6-for-21 with a double and home run.

Twins right-hander José Berríos has registered a 0.732 WHIP in 27 1/3 innings that leads the American League. He's turned in quality starts in all four of his outings and is averaging 1.6 walks and 9.2 strikeouts per nine innings.

Berríos has been tough on everyone. Right-handers are batting .164/.203/.345 and left-handers are hitting .150/.209/.275. He's 3-0 with a 3.08 ERA and 0.987 WHIP in four career starts against the Orioles over 26 1/3 innings.

Davis is 2-for-9 with a home run against Berríos. Mancini is 2-for-8 with two doubles.

The Twins are 9-7, their best start since 2013.

On this date in Orioles history, Brooks Robinson hit his 268th and final career home run with a 10-inning walk-off against the Indians at Memorial Stadium. It was Robinson's only career pinch-hit home run.

The 11th annual UMPS CARE Charities online auction has started today and runs through 10 p.m. April 29, with major league umpires offering more than 400 items, including autographed sports memorabilia and VIP experiences and ticket packages. All proceeds benefit UMPS CARE Charities youth programs, which provides baseball experiences for critically children, at-risk youth and military families, Build-A-Bear Workshop experiences for children battling serious illnesses at more than 15 pediatric hospitals in the U.S. and Canada, college scholarships for deserving young adults who were adopted as children, and financial assistance for families in the baseball community in need.

Update: Tonight's game has been postponed due to rain. The game will be made up Saturday as a single-admission doubleheader.

The first game will begin at 4:05 p.m., with the second game starting approximately 30 minutes following the conclusion of the first. Right-hander Dan Straily will start the opener, with Cobb getting the start for the nightcap.
