Orioles to offer four-day flash sale for Aug. 9-11 weekend series in celebration of 30th anniversary of 1989 "Why Not?" team

In continued celebration of the 30th anniversary of the 1989 Orioles "Why Not?" team, the Orioles are turning back ticket pricing to 1989 Memorial Stadium prices with a four-day flash sale valid for the August 9 to 11 games against the Houston Astros. Tickets are available for a limited time and while supplies last.

From 9:00 a.m. ET on Thursday, August 1, to 11:59 on Sunday, August 4, fans can take advantage of discounted pricing for the August 9 to 11 weekend series. To reflect the 1989 pricing at Memorial Stadium, Terrace Box sections 1-17 will be $8.50, while Upper Reserve (sections 316-324 and 348-356) will be $6.50. Up to eight tickets per transaction are allowed. The offer is valid exclusively at Orioles.com/WhyNot.

As part of the celebration of the 1989 team, prior to Friday night's 7:05 p.m. game against the Astros, the Orioles will hold a special pregame ceremony honoring the members of the 1989 team, including Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer Cal Ripken Jr., Jeff Ballard, Phil Bradley, Mike Devereaux, Rene Gonzales, Tim Hulett, Dave Johnson, Bob Milacki, Gregg Olson, Joe Orsulak, Jamie Quirk, Bill Ripken, Dave Schmidt, Larry Sheets, Mike Smith, Mark Williamson and Craig Worthington. The first 20,000 fans 15 and over attending the game will receive an '89 "Why Not?" T-shirt. Orioles players, coaches, and uniformed personal will also wear throwback 1989 jerseys and caps, which will be autographed, authenticated, and auctioned online at Orioles.com/auctions to benefit the Orioles Charitable Foundation.
