APRIL 8 vs. NYY

PREGAME CEREMONY: Ramón Urías 2022 Gold Glove Award 

URÍAS will be presented with his Gold Glove Award by Manger Brandon Hyde and a Rawlings Representative prior to the game. Urías was named the recipient of the 2022 Gold Glove Award at third base, the first of his career. He became the first Oriole to win a Gold Glove since Manny Machado in 2015. He is just the third Orioles third baseman to ever win the award, joining Machado and Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer, Brooks Robinson. 

PREGAME CEREMONY: Brandon Hyde Baseball America and Sporting News Manager of the Year 

HYDE was voted 2022 Baseball America Manager of the Year, Sporting News AL Manager of the Year and 2022 Baseball Writers' Association of America Manager of the Year Runner Up. Hyde led the O’s to an 83-79 record, his first winning season as manager and the club’s first winning campaign since 2016. He collected his 200th career managerial win on September 1, 2022, in the O's 3-0 win at Cleveland.

EARLY BIRD SATURDAYS 

Gates will open to fans two hours prior to the first pitch for Saturday home game  this season. This Saturday, CELLAR SESSIONS will perform in Statue Park when the gates open at 5:00 p.m. until the start of pregame ceremonies.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Troy Koger

KOGER will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. He will also perform "America The Beautiful" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

 

APRIL 9 vs. NYY

NICKELODEON KIDS’ OPENING DAY PRESENTED BY WEIS MARKETS

The Orioles will welcome their youngest fans back to to the ballpark on Sunday, April 9, as part Nickelodeon Kids Opening day, presented by Weis  Markets. As part of the festivities, Oriole Park will be slimed out with Nickelodeon's famous slime covering select gates and light posts throughout the stadium. Fans can meet some of their favorite Nickelodeon characters including SpongeBob SquarePants, Baby Shark, and Marshall from Paw Patrol. Kids can also go on their very own Blue’s Clues adventure and sit in the Thinking Chair in the Kids Corner. Additional Nickelodeon activities will be in the Bullpen Picnic Area.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Kaylee Milano

A Timonium, Md. resident, MILANO, will be honored as the Birdland Community Hero. The nine-year-old crocheted handmade hats to deliver to kids with cancer being treated at the hospital. Diagnosed with juvenile arthritis, Milano has spent a lot of time in the hospital getting treatment and blood tests. As part of her recognition, the Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $5,000 donation the Arthritis Foundation in honor of Milano.

COLOR GUARD: Cub Scout Pack 183 

CUB SCOUT PACK 183 will present the colors from the field during the national anthem.

GIVEAWAY: Oriole Bird Nickelodeon Bobblehead, presented by Weis Markets 

The first 10,000 fans 14 & under will receive an Oriole Bird Nickelodeon Bobblehead, presented by Weis Markets.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Yolanda Ji

Ji, a ten-year-old Seattle native, will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. She will also perform "God Bless America" from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning. 

ANTHEM KIDS: Cool Kids Campaign

Children from the COOL KIDS CAMPAIGN will stand with Orioles players on the field during the performance of the national anthem. The Cool Kids Campaign is a nonprofit organization that supports children fighting cancer through academic, social, and emotional programming. 

MILITARY SUITE PROGRAM: Fort George G. Meade 

Military  members from  FORT GEORGE G. MEADE and their families will receive complimentary suite tickets, catering, O’s themed hats and t-shirts, and the opportunity to meet an Orioles player prior to the game. The Orioles will also recognize the group with an in-game welcome on the scoreboard. 

TOPPS TRUCK

The TOPPS TRUCK will be stationed in Maryland Square as a part of their 30 stadium tour this season. Fans are encouraged to participate in several activities including Take a Card, Leave a Card, lawn games, and will have the opportunity to receive free Topps promotional items.

Kids Run the Bases, presented by Weis Markets

All fans ages four to 14 will have the opportunity to run the bases following the game.

 

APRIL 10 vs. OAK

OPENING DAY ONLINE AUCTION

The Opening Day auction, featuring game-used memorabilia from the Orioles Home Opener, will run from Monday, April 10, at 5:00 p.m. to Sunday, April 16 at 10:00 p.m. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Orioles Charitable Foundation and its efforts to support worthy youth and community groups throughout Birdland. HORIZON DAY CAMP

The Orioles donated tickets to 235 individuals from the Horizon Day Camp to enjoy the game. The Horizon Day Camp strives to bring joy back to children with cancer and their siblings by providing summer camps and year-long programming, free of charge. 

PREGAME CEREMONY: 2022 Team Members of the Year Recognition 

JOHN WILSON, LUCAS DAYTON, JANET KRAFT, DIANE REISZ, HORACE GILLIAM, MICHAEL PRIMM, JOSHUA POSEY, and THOMAS JACOBS will be recognized as 2022 Team Members of the Year with an on-field ceremony. Each of the individuals were also recognized as a Team Member of the Month for their exceptional job during the 2022 season. Each member will recieve a personalized Eutaw Street home run marker for their hard work.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Max Klemm

KLEMM will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

 

APRIL 11 vs. OAK

GIVEAWAY: Grayson Rodriguez Welcome to the Show T-Shirt

The first 10,000 fans ages 15 and over will receive a Grayson Rodriguez Welcome to the Show T-Shirt to celebrate what is expected to be his first start at Oriole Park.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Vincent Sandroni

SANDRONI will perform his rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

 

APRIL 12 vs. OAK

HEROES CORNER SALUTE TO SERVICE: Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training

MARYLAND CENTER FOR VETERANS EDUCATION AND TRAINING is a nonprofit 501c3 corporation designed to provide homeless veterans and other veterans in need with comprehensive services that will enable them to rejoin their communities as productive citizens. Through the Heroes Corner Salute to Service program, the Orioles recognize and show appreciation to organizations that support the military community by donating tickets.

Members of TOWSON UNTITLED will perform their rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

 

APRIL 13 vs. OAK

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Christina Hager

HAGER will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game.

FIRST PITCH: Ivan Bates

The State Attorney of Baltimore, BATES will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Bates was sworn in as the 26th State's Attorney for Baltimore City on January 3, 2023. A successful attorney, army veteran, and community advocate, Bates has more than 25 years of experience as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. He will work tirelessly to build bridges for a better Baltimore and create the City he envisions for his young daughter, London, his entire family, and every family in Baltimore.

 

APRIL 14

ORIOLES IN THE COMMUNITY: Jackie Robinson Day

In partnership with Nike in honor of JACKIE ROBINSON DAY, the Orioles are going to read “Testing the Ice: A True Story about Jackie Robinson” by Sharon Robinson to the Boys and Girls Club at Laurel Woods Elementary School. The Orioles will also provide the students with their own copy of the book along with Nike giveaways, MLB Jackie Robinson Day worksheets and coloring pages. The Orioles will donate copies of the book to 12 library systems across Maryland.
