Throwback Thursday: A not-so-routine line drive

With the season right around the corner, fans are anxiously anticipating the next 162 games. Over the span of the next six months, we will get to witness tons of home runs, strikeouts and diving catches, but sometimes, it's the little things that remind you why you watch the Nationals day in and day out. This week, I decided to switch it up a little. I'm throwin' it back to a late September game at Nats Park. In the seventh inning, a routine line drive was hit directly to Ian Desmond. What happens next is slightly unexpected, but the quirky moment surely put a smile on everyone's face. Watch Desmond's glove malfunction in the video below and remember, there are only 18 days until opening day.
