Tonight's Delmarva Shorebirds lineup

SALISBURY, Md. - Here is tonight's lineup for the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds as they host Greenville in their 18th game of the season and first of a six-game homestand with Dylan Bundy making his fourth start at 7:05 p.m. CF - Glynn Davis LF - John Ruettiger 3B - Jason Esposito C - Gabriel Lino RF - Brenden Webb DH - Connor Narron 1B - Nicky Delmonico SS - Mychal Givens 2B - Sammie Starr Delmarva is 9-8 and coming off a series at Greensboro where the Shorebirds lost all three games in that series by four total runs to the Marlins affiliate, which is tied for first place, but manager Ryan Minor pointed out today he has one of the youngest teams in the South Atlantic League and they have more than held their own so far. "In this league, absolutely (we are among the youngest teams)," Minor said. "We just played Greensboro and their average age is 22 or 23 years old. They are an older ballclub for this league with some college kids that have been in this league already. We should have beaten them every night. We had them beat a couple of times and split with them (four games) here. "These guys, they don't back down from anybody and they are as talented or more talented than anyone else. That is exciting." Minor said he expected his youthful team to make some mistakes but they will learn from them and grow as players during their time in this league. "The good thing about this group is it is easily correctable and guys don't shrug you off as you try to tell them (about mistakes)," he said. "When they make a mistake, usually they know why. Maybe you say a couple of words and they know. Our mental mistakes have been limited here, physical mistakes will happen. For the most part with the mental side of the game, this is a good group of guys. The best thing about this group is they all get along and they play well together." Ruettiger takes a seven-game hitting streak into tonight's game and is 12-for-32 (.375) during that stretch. He is currently 12th in the league in batting, tied for fourth in hits and tied for seventh in steals. Delmarva is one of two Sally League teams to have six players with nine or more RBIs. Brenden Webb has 13, followed by Ruettiger with 10, Nicky Delmonico, Gabriel Lino, Sammie Starr and Connor Narron with nine.
