Your incremental Roberts update

I'm not a big fan of incremental updates that don't really advance a story, but it's been a slow day and I feel guilty for posting only one entry, so here's a little something for you. Try to control your breathing and not be overcome by the excitement. Second baseman Brian Roberts made another visit yesterday to Dr. Michael Collins, who's billed as a sports-concussion specialist. I've never read his business card, but I assume that title appears on it. I'm told by a team official that there's been "no significant change in status." Roberts continues to participate in baseball activities down in Sarasota - hitting, throwing, tracking pop ups - but he hasn't been cleared to play in games. As expected, the exam amounted to little more than a routine checkup. The headaches aren't as frequent, but even the occasional ones bring enough concern that Roberts can't join an affiliate and begin an injury-rehab assignment. The minor league seasons end in about three weeks, so Roberts is on the clock. Unfortunately, he's also in Dr. Collins' appointment book.
