Game 144 lineups (take two): Nats at Phillies

PHILADELPHIA - Hello again from Citizens Bank Park, where the blowtorches were back out on the infield at noon today, only three hours before scheduled first pitch of this doubleheader. They've since been moved off to the side, but there's still a lot of tilling/rolling/drying work being done on the infield, so I'm not sure you can say with any confidence yet that today's action will start on time (or at all, if we want to consider the worst-case scenario). Oh, also there's a good chance of rain throughout the late afternoon and evening.

Erick-Fedde-throws-red-sidebar.jpgBut we'll try to stay optimistic and hope for the best. Which means a 3:05 p.m. opener today, with Erick Fedde on the mound for the Nats and Nick Pivetta on the mound for the Phillies. (It'll be Tanner Roark vs. Jake Arrieta in the nightcap.)

The Nationals just want to play baseball at this point. They've played only one of the last four days, but they won two games on that day. They like the way they're playing, so they'd really like to keep playing.
