Game 26 lineups: Nats vs. Marlins

Tonight is the rubber game of a five-game series, and how often do you get to say that? The Nationals and Marlins have played a lot this weekend, and they're not done yet. Tonight they'll play the finale of this extended series, the winner taking three of five and perhaps carrying some momentum into the rest of the week.

Gomes-Trot-To-Dugout-After-HR-White-Sidebar.jpgAfter Sunday's 9-3 win, the Nats have to feel good about their lineup, but they still need to prove they can maintain some consistency at the plate. They've got about as good of an offensive group as they can muster right now taking the field tonight against Marlins right-hander Pablo López, including Howie Kendrick as the designated hitter, Asdrúbal Cabrera at third base and the surprisingly hot Yan Gomes behind the plate.

The Nationals also have to feel good about the state of their bullpen after Aníbal Sánchez went seven innings yesterday and Ryne Harper finished it off after that. So even if Austin Voth can't go deep tonight - and that's been a recurring problem - manager Davey Martinez has plenty of fresh arms to fill out the rest of the game.
