Game 29 lineups: Nats at Cubs

CHICAGO - After a chilly night with the wind blowing in at Wrigley Field, it's suddenly a beautiful, warm day with the wind blowing out today. Chicago weather, folks, gotta love it. Or hate it.

The Nationals and Cubs play the second of their four-game series this afternoon, the Nats looking to bounce back from a fairly nondescript 5-2 loss in last night's opener. The good news: They've got their leadoff hitter and center fielder back at last.

Yes, Ben Revere has been activated off the disabled list and will be starting today, his first major league game action since he strained his right oblique muscle on opening day in Atlanta. His impact on the lineup should be significant. The Nats now have a proven leadoff man with one of the lowest strikeout rates in baseball, and that should put Anthony Rendon, Bryce Harper and everyone else behind them in better positions to do their thing.

That lineup will be going up against veteran John Lackey, who has been a bit erratic so far in 2016. Twice he has given up six earned runs in a start, but thrice he has given up two earned runs or fewer.
