Nationals announce 2014 spring training schedule

The Nationals announced their 31-game 2014 spring training schedule this evening, a slate that features 14 home games at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Fla., beginning with their Grapefruit League home opener Saturday, March 1 versus the Braves. The Nats will kick off their spring training schedule a day before that home opener when they face the Mets in Port St. Lucie on Feb. 28. Matt Williams' bunch will conclude their exhibition schedule at Nationals Park against the Tigers on March 29, and after getting one day off, the Nats will open the 2014 regular season against the Mets at Citi Field. Spring Training season packages will be available online beginning Nov. 15 at 10 a.m. at nationals.com/spring. Beginning Jan. 13, three-game flex plans will be available exclusively at nationals.com/spring. Individual-game tickets for all Nationals spring contests at Space Coast Stadium will be available beginning February 1 at 10 a.m. at the Space Coast Stadium Box Office, by visiting nationals.com/spring or by calling 888-632-NATS(6287).
