Nats-Astros lineups as Gonzalez makes final pre-WBC start

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Jayson Werth chose not to get into the Nationals-Phillies fray this morning. I swung by the Nationals complex at Space Coast Stadium before making the drive here for this afternoon's game against the Astros, and checked in with Werth to see if he had anything to offer after yesterday's incident involving Stephen Strasburg, Chase Utley, Roy Halladay and Tyler Moore. Werth, who spent four years with the Phillies before joining the Nats in 2011, opted to stay out of it all, declining to comment. Here at Osceola County Stadiun, Gio Gonzalez is preparing for his final start with the Nationals before taking off to join Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, assuming the American squad makes it out of the first round. Gonzalez would pitch for Team USA on March 12 if they make it into the second round of the tournament. That game would be held in Miami. Like Stephen Strasburg yesterday, Gonzalez will likely be held to around 60-70 pitches today. The Nats brought the bulk of their regulars today, with Werth, Adam LaRoche and Ryan Zimmerman the only starters who stayed back in Viera. Here are the lineups for today's game: For the Nats CF Denard Span 2B Danny Espinosa LF Bryce Harper DH Wilson Ramos SS Ian Desmond 3B Chad Tracy 1B Tyler Moore C Kurt Suzuki RF Corey Brown P Gio Gonzalez For the Astros SS Tyler Greene 2B Jose Altuve LF Chris Carter CF Justin Maxwell RF J.D. Martinez DH Nate Freiman 1B Brandon Laird C Carlos Corporan 3B Matt Dominguez P Philip Humber
