Nats, Cardinals lineups for series opener

Jesus Flores is behind the plate for the Nationals tonight as they kick off a four-game set with the Cardinals, while St. Louis catcher Yadier Molina has returned to the lineup after missing one game with upper-body strains resulting from a violent home plate collision. A night after Kurt Suzuki hit his first homer as a National, he'll back Flores up. Neither catcher has faced Cardinals starter Jaime Garcia in their career. It'll be Garcia and Edwin Jackson on the mound tonight in the series opener. Jackson earned a World Series ring last year as a member of the Cardinals, but he's still looking for his first career win against the Cards. Tonight will be his fifth career start against St. Louis. Garcia is 3-5 with a 4.15 ERA this season. Here's an interesting note to have in mind going into tonight's game: The Nats are 29-4 since the All-Star break when scoring three or more runs. When scoring fewer than three runs, the Nats are 0-13 since the break. For the Nats: RF Jayson Werth CF Bryce Harper 3B Ryan Zimmerman LF Michael Morse 1B Adam LaRoche SS Ian Desmond 2B Danny Espinosa C Jesus Flores P Edwin Jackson For the Cardinals: CF Jon Jay RF Carlos Beltran LF Matt Holliday 1B Allen Craig C Yadier Molina 3B David Freese 2B Skip Schumaker SS Rafael Furcal P Jaime Garcia
