Nats finalize opening day roster

We knew this was coming, but the Nationals officially reassigned left-handed reliever J.C. Romero to minor league camp this afternoon, a move that finalizes their opening day 25-man roster. Romero will open the season in the bullpen at Triple-A Syracuse and serve as insurance in case of injury or if the Nats need more left-handed presence in their 'pen. The Nats will break camp with 13 position players and 12 pitchers, opting to go with a five-man bench and a seven-man bullpen, as they did most of last season. Zach Duke will serve as the only left-hander in the bullpen. Here's how the roster will be composed: Starting Pitchers RHP Stephen Strasburg LHP Gio Gonzalez RHP Jordan Zimmermann RHP Dan Haren LHP Ross Detwiler Relief Pitchers LHP Zach Duke RHP Craig Stammen RHP Henry Rodriguez RHP Ryan Mattheus RHP Tyler Clippard RHP Drew Storen RHP Rafael Soriano Catchers C Wilson Ramos C Kurt Suzuki Infielders 1B Adam LaRoche 2B Danny Espinosa SS Ian Desmond 3B Ryan Zimmerman 1B/3B Chad Tracy INF Steve Lombardozzi Outfielders LF Bryce Harper CF Denard Span RF Jayson Werth OF Roger Bernadina OF/1B Tyler Moore
