No no-no for Detwiler, but lefty is cruising (updated twice)

I honestly feel like there's a decent chance a Nationals starter throws a no-hitter this season. All five guys currently in the rotation have legit no-hit ability, and the way these guys keep one-upping each other, it almost seems like it's only a matter of time until one of them finds a zone and holds an opponent hitless. That night won't be tonight, however. Ross Detwiler held the Diamondbacks without a hit for 4 1/3 innings tonight, but Ryan Roberts' single to left ended any hopes of the Nats' lefty following up Jared Weaver's no-no last night with one of his own. In reality, 4 1/3 innings without a hit isn't much of a no-hit bid, but Detwiler has looked really smooth through his five frames tonight. In addition to the one single, he's walked two and struck out two and needed just 62 pitches to get through the five innings. Detwiler has a 1-0 lead to work with, as the Nats manufactured a run in the second to take the early edge. Jayson Werth led off with a double, moved to third on an Ian Kennedy balk and then scored on a Rick Ankiel groundout. Without Ryan Zimmerman, Michael Morse and Adam LaRoche - the latter was scratched before the game due to right oblique soreness - the Nats have managed just two hits off Kennedy, but thanks to Detwiler, they're leading going into the sixth. Update: Aaron Hill's one-out RBI double in the sixth scored Willie Bloomquist and tied the game at 1-1. Update II: Bryce Harper has delivered a big extra-base hit yet again, as his opposite-field double in the bottom of the sixth scored Ian Desmond, giving the Nats a 2-1 lead. Harper now has four extra-base knocks in 16 major league at-bats. Two-thirds of his hits since reaching the majors have been doubles.
